Coping In Tough Times

Join Susannah for a conversation with Red Cross-certified disaster mental health first responder and trauma-sensitive yoga instructor Monique A. Dauphin, LMHC. Moniques will share her knowledge about stress management in the midst of crisis, and help us find ways to tap into our inner resilience to move from surviving to thriving in the wake of VOVID-19.

We will discuss:

  • An understanding of stress and anxiety—the differences between the two and ways to manage both

  • Practical self-regulation skills to soothe worry, feelings of panic, & overwhelm

  • Ways in which pandemic and other disasters mess with our ability to make meaning of the world (and what to do about it)

  • How to create and maintain work-life boundaries while working from home

  • How to adapt our self-care plans to less-than-optimal conditions

  • How to decrease feelings of isolation and foster community during self-quarantine

Questions for Monique are welcome and encouraged! She is a wealth of information about trauma, anxiety, and mental health in general. Ask questions during the event or submit them in advance to sgrange@hudsonriveryoga.com
